Common questions about used conveyors
What length stacking conveyor do I need?
Stockpile capacity scales roughly with the cube of conveyor length. A 60-ft tracked stacker holds maybe 2,000 cubic yards in a single radial cone; an 80-ft holds 4,000+. If you stockpile high-volume product (sand, gravel, base), go longer. For finished-product piles you turn over weekly, 60-65 ft is usually plenty.
Tracked vs wheeled stacking conveyor?
Tracked stackers (Telestack, EDGE) are self-contained, move easily around a yard, and have hydraulic raise/lower for stockpile management. Wheeled stackers cost less and have higher capacity per dollar but need a tractor to move. Most aggregate yards run tracked.
