25-ton class (Rokbak RA25, Cat 725, Volvo A25) for tight site work and mid-size operations. 30-ton (RA30, Cat 730, A30) is the sweet spot for most quarry haul. 40-ton+ (RA40, Cat 745, A40) for high-volume mass earthmoving and mining.
How many hours is too many on a used ADT?
Articulated haulers see brutal duty cycles. 8,000-10,000 hours on a well-maintained machine is normal mid-life. 15,000+ hours expect upcoming engine and transmission work — price accordingly.
